Accessibility Statement
Last updated 22 September 2026
This statement applies to the SpendPilot website at spendpilot.co.uk and to the SpendPilot apps for iOS and Android, operated by SPEND PILOT LTD.
1. Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use SpendPilot, including people who use screen readers, magnification, voice control, switch access or a keyboard only, and people who need larger text, higher contrast or reduced motion. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the website and the apps, and to meet our duties under the Equality Act 2010.
2. What we have done
- The website can be navigated by keyboard, includes a "skip to main content" link, and uses semantic headings and landmarks.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives.
- The apps support the platform accessibility features of iOS and Android, including VoiceOver and TalkBack, Dynamic Type and font scaling, and reduced motion settings. [CONFIRM WHICH FEATURES HAVE BEEN TESTED]
- Colour is not the only way information is shown. Budget status is indicated with text as well as colour.
- Forms have visible labels and clear error messages.
- Prices and totals are announced in full, including currency, to screen readers. [CONFIRM]
3. Known limitations
We are still working on the following. [UPDATE AFTER AN ACCESSIBILITY AUDIT]
- Some charts in the weekly insights screens may not yet be fully described for screen reader users. A text summary is provided alongside each chart.
- Some third-party content, in particular the supermarket websites we link to, is outside our control.
- Session analytics recordings, if you consent to them, may not capture accessibility settings accurately. This does not affect how the app works for you.
4. Compatibility
The website is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on desktop and mobile. The apps support [MINIMUM iOS VERSION] and [MINIMUM ANDROID VERSION] or later. [CONFIRM]
5. Testing
[DESCRIBE TESTING: AUTOMATED TOOLS USED, MANUAL TESTING WITH SCREEN READERS, WHETHER AN EXTERNAL AUDIT HAS BEEN COMMISSIONED, AND THE DATE OF THE LAST TEST]
6. Tell us about a problem
If you cannot access something, find a barrier, or need information in a different format, please email [email protected] with the subject line "Accessibility". Tell us what you were trying to do, the device and assistive technology you were using, and what went wrong. We aim to respond within 5 working days and to fix problems as quickly as we can.
7. Enforcement
The Equality and Human Rights Commission is responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010 in Great Britain. If you are not happy with how we respond to a complaint, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service at equalityadvisoryservice.com. In Northern Ireland, contact the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland at equalityni.org.
8. Review
We review this statement at least once a year and whenever we make significant changes to the website or apps.
